eAir, LLC - Jason Price

My name is Jason Price and I own eAir, LLC. 

I am a sUAS subject matter expert for Utilities and critical infrastructure. I have flown almost every mission for my employer, an Investor Owned Utility, over the last 3.5 years both outdoors and inside. I am extremely fortunate to have been afforded the opportunities and trusted with the systems made available to me. 

I have flown UAV platforms of twelve different varieties and I am considered an expert as well as a professional PIC.

Indoors I have battled EMI flying in generating facilities – coal fired and hydro facilities. 

Outdoors has flown with one of the first exercises including city, county, state, federal and military entities performing exercises on private company property. The synchronizing all entities from a command post to all participants was a great success and learning experience.

Put together the investor owned utility business case which has been adopted. Vetted 23 systems before deciding on the two UAV’s and sensors to purchase.

Flown emergency missions including but not limited to documenting the Cedar Rapids flood of September 2016 in his utility service area. 

Flooding during an ice storm the Winter of 2017 from 80 feet up in a bucket truck Pardeeville, Wisconsin.

Inspections include, cooling towers, coal pile volumetrics, bridge inspections, methane inspections, rights of way, solar arrays, cell phone towers, cooling ponds, substations, gate stations, construction sites, corporate media, events, agriculture including wineries….

Also, STEM class, videography, weddings, agriculture, thermal imaging, commercial building inspection, laser imaging of already mentioned inspections as well as industrial installations.

I was honored to be a conference Chairperson speaking and moderating at sUAS for Utilities Seminar over three days in Atlanta, GA 05/2017.

Friends and acquaintances have each observed that my demeanor changes when I speak about sUAS or drones. It is because I am motivated to share me experiences and found my calling in this arena. Along with over ten years of utility experience working with Commercial and Industrial customers I have a very unique skill set to offer. 

Flying skills, hard skills and soft skills have been honed into a powerful mix over the last 20 years plus

Enterprise level utility knowledge with a sUAS overlay is a combination rarely seen. It lends to innovation probability throughout market segments of most kinds. We are working on intellectual property of mine right now at the utility. 

My abilities and experience along with being an early adopter of technology has made my ability to innovate a force multiplier. 

Safety is always rule number one and it is considered in every aspect of planning. If a flight is scrubbed it was almost certainly due to safety. Alternatives to this rule do not exist.
